News Alleged ex-DSP employee claims Hyunjoo is lying about bullying rumors (1 Viewer)

It was reported by Korean news outlet, Sports Kyunghyang, that someone who claims to be a former employee of DSP Media took to social media to call out former APRIL member Lee Hyunjoo. Previously, Lee Hyunjoo had accused the APRIL members (except new members Chaekyung and Rachel) of bullying her throughout the years she trained and debuted with the group.


The alleged former employee accused Hyunjoo of lying with, “I am writing the truth because the world has believed your ridiculous lies, and it seems that you are deluded into thinking that the world belongs to you.” They explained that after Hyunjoo allegedly underwent plastic surgery, the group APRIL was created. However, they alleged that Hyunjoo made it obvious that she did not want to be a part of a girl group and went around with her boyfriend instead.

The alleged former employee continued that after Hyunjoo announced that she would be committing suicide, she instead was just hanging with her boyfriend. They claim that Hyunjoo was not ostracized, rather, Hyunjoo herself did not want to be a part of the group.

The alleged former employee also criticized Hyunjoo for reacting negatively to the acting jobs she was given, claiming that Hyunjoo had wanted to reject things such as web dramas. They ended off the post by claiming they would reveal more of the truth if Hyunjoo were to continue spreading falsehoods.

Neither Hyunjoo nor DSP Media has officially responded to this alleged former employee’s post.

Aprils brand is 100% ruined as the problem with long scandals like this is that people lose interest in keeping up with it after a while and if anything will just wash their hands of all of the April members as a whole including Somin and Hyunjoo probably

I never thought I'd see a situation even messier than T-ara. Hwa, it wasn't even her skipping rehearsals and refusing to perform that got her booted, it was the drama that she and her friends/family brought in that ended up getting her kicked out. T-ara at least apologized and tried to fix

If it really is a case of her being ostracized because of being unwilling to work, DSP is handling this in a monumentally idiot way. Prove that she's actually missing work or being difficult because nobody is going to side with them if they keep pointing to the time they excepted a 17 year old to show up to work the day after she attempted suicide, kinda proving Hyunjoo's point on what kind of environment it was

Probably started off as the first and turned into the second as I find it hard to believe the whole company just turned against her randomly but once they thought unfavourably of her then it was a harmful situation for her to be in.

she is a 98(likely an early 98 so same school grade as chaewon) same as sakura a year older than yeri. for her to be 17 that would be the debut year of 2015?

And she is older than everyone but Chaewon ~ same age the claim that all the younger kids ganged up on her in such an age structure culture is a bit of a stretch. with out a serious cause.

When did she attempt after tinker bell? Did they know?

The thing is that there isn't necessary one side that is lying and one side that is truth. It's possible that she did skip the practises and didn't work as hard as others- and spent time with bf instead. It's possible that she did that, but was also bullied and company didn't prevent it, even going as far as supervising her talks with her parents and then blocking her future activities. Even if she didn't work as hard, she didn't deserve to be bullied especially physically cause that's never ok. However even if she was bullied some of the fault might lie with her as being in kpop group is lots of hard work and you have to carry ur part.

Whole thing reminds me of T-ara's case. The outcome was people siding with T-ara in the end and seeing Hwayoung as bad guy. Which always was confusing to me cause I never saw anything about it that would point that one side was without fault and one 100% wrong. That's how it goes I guess, public loves to find out who is victim and who is in fault.

As for whether they knew Hyunjoos side says that they DSP and April knew and April were sympathetic when it happened but eventually things went back to normal and that DSP told her to get back to work while she was in the hospital.

I read about the T-ara case and I don't remember there really being anything to say that it was the other members provoking the behaviour in Hwayoung in any way, she flaked practice to get her nails done or something and then the members vented indirectly on Twitter and people started looking at "evidence" of Hwayoung being a victim which was just past clips with some being just weird and some being taken out of context and Hwayoung just rolled with it.
