Do Some Companies Do Better with Certain Genders? (1 Viewer)

Like do you think a company does better at managing girl groups vs boy groups?

For me I think SM is better at managing guy groups but even then they suck.
JYP is better at managing girl groups.
YG just sucks.

What do you think?
Feel free to bring up other companies those are just the ones I had an opinion on.​

YG is equally bad
as for JYP, they only care for GGs and then they don't bother with any of their groups long term and forget about them after a certain time

Play M is relatively dumb too, but I'd say their groups do well. I think they're more women > men.
Yuehua shouldn't have given EVERGLOW such a long hiatus when they had gained such a strong fanbase as rookies, so that's questionable. I don't know anything about their male artists.


Agreed that JYP girls > boys, doesn't care about longevity of artists.

BigHit hasn't had a female artist in so long, but it feels that they will do their best to push them to the sky. Although, I think BigHit would never push anyone to succeed more than BTS. To me, that's one of their downfalls.

speaking from play m yeah i agree. i felt like they debuted victon but then they never marketed them they never promoted them and then kind of blamed the boys for not being successful when i never saw them get promoted once until they went on produce x 101. i think the company is better now due to new management or something changed bc victon seems happy and they are becoming more successful nowadays

for yuehua's case they were in charge of uniq who they fxxked up but also china fxxked up with the tensions. they do fortunately let woodz (soloist member of uniq) do his own thing and he seems to have a lot of creative freedom but they have everglow on a tight leash in comparison

Forgot to mention Jellyfish, they're trash as well. The only reason they're floating is because of VIXX and, even then, the leader left the group. Another comeback for them is.... questionable. They destroyed gugudan. Not a good company.

i think sm really does ok to good. they get flack but over all the groups are popular.

sure i would have liked a better end of life for snsd.
and RV not getting numbers like others is annoying.
I looks like they gave ground on taeyeon v iu

exo l feel they let bts take over from em, and didnt fight back aggressively.

but i think that is part of our problem as fans we want alot.


yg does seem to favor teh guys but as much as i would hate his Strat if i were a fan it works.

jyp seems to flame out his girl groups.

part of teh problem is boys can be easier in one way and girls another.

like secret was ok ish but man the bg for ts ( well TS is aawful )

pledis can make groups but cant seem to run em .

JYP cares more about girl groups, i.e. Twice and Itzy, and will milk them for everything they've got

honestly, JYP sucks too

they focus on bgs for the first couple of years, but they just kinda leave them off to the side after they are no longer rookies. then they over-focus on ggs and try to milk them out of everything they have and go crazy with trying to promote em
