I hate it when people on social media say things like "If you love Fine Line (by Harry Styles) but you skip Canyon Moon (a song on the album), we can't be friends". Honey, not everybody has to like the same songs you do. If we did, the world would be a freaking snoozefest! And just because you skip ONE SONG (or multiple, or even the whole dang tracklist!) on a particular album, doesn't make you any less of a fan than if you bopped to every song.

Like, I used to be OBSESSED with the Backstreet Boys (well, I still do love them - just not obsessed anymore), and when Millennium came out, ngl I actually skipped a couple. But you know what? NOBODY CARED! I was still the same old fangirl - I just wasn't a fan of one or two of the songs, is all.

Yeah. I know some people who make comments that they would kick someone out of their car if they made a negative comment about a song...

I think its mostly jokes but there is kinda this peer pressure to like everything. Ofc u don't need to be negative Nancy about not liking sth but forced positiveness isn't good either

One time, I admitted to voting bts for this fandom face off thing instead of Harry Styles (on a “vote for Harry” tweet), and one “fan” replied “You don’t Stan Harry, sis.” Um, excuse you, missy! Just bc I voted bts over Harry, does NOT mean I don’t Stan him! I mean, I would’ve voted for both given the chance, but I wasn’t allowed to!
