Taeyong seems cut from slightly same cloth, a bg idol who strains at the limits; which i love the efforts he's making n come up with. In another reality perhaps he's in a different bg where each member has individual solo work while part of a mega popular bg.
Im still waiting for him to be part of Tae-Tae-Tae-Tae project(4th Tae is Taeil, which iv learnt is another NCT member).

All tat stuff abt Taeyong seems to hold true for 99% of all bg male idols tho, in a way or partially at least.

For me personally, i tried listening to his solo Soundcloud n it just imprinted on me smh. It doesnt hurt tat he keeps uploading regularly stuff tat i like. His personal story n tat he doesnt seem like a creep is just bonus gravy/icing on the Taeyong cake for me.(still doesnt affect how much/little NCT/SuperM make an impression on me but tat kinda parallels Styles/1D ig. Iv heard some songs from the grps i think but not motivated to explore further, especially missed most SuperM after Jopping: you had/hv Taeyong, Taemin, Kai, Baekhyun n tats wat u gave to the public, i casually liked it but tats all.)

I rlly dont want to think abt how his solo career path might go, ill just enjoy the ride as long as he uploads to Soundcloud/he gives good songs to us(i doubt he wont, just a caveat in case for a fallback: i also rlly need to stop extending my staying in kpop by following any more idols, even casually like Taeyong-if i stick with him till his days in NCT allows him to give us a proper solo album/EP/single tat might take me to 2025 or sth. I might hv only aespa n Taeyong then, maybe Everglow/GIDLE too, but i dint think id still be tat into kpop tat far out.
