Groups with the Wrong Sound? (1 Viewer)

This isn't meant to be a hate thread but more of a critical thread.
Is there a group who you think is doing songs that don't fit them or who have a sound or style that doesn't fit them?

If so what group and what sound do you think fits them best?

For me, it would be LOONA-mainly because their latest release made me realize this a bit.
But I think they fit a softer style than what they've been trying to go for recently and as of late.
Not necessarily a cute innocent sound but more of a mature but soft style.
Like what they did with Voice/Star.



I also think just in general they aren't a group meant for rapping or going hard.
More of a group meant for harmonization, ballads, and songs that are sort of chill.
I think with the variety they have in the group this style is a mesh of all of them.
Which makes it so they all can easily adjust to it and make it work really well.

I'm grateful I'm not the only one who thinks this-I don't have beef with the girls I just think they are doing songs that don't fit them. But their b-sides often times carry their essence and style more so than their title tracks typically do and it's a shame to me.

loona is my ult group but i agree to some extent, i would have loved if voice was the main title track instead of why not even though i ended up liking why not and despite the fact that i love paint the town i was hoping that bbc would try something else other than the dark-edgy-"girl crush" concept because it feels a bit overdone to me at this point. honestly i don't know why they always pick one of the weakest songs on the album as the title track. also i know it's too early to judge but i really hope that when aespa release an album it will be something more about their vocals and less about kwangya

I don't know much about Sumin but I'm assuming she's a good vocalist but this song was NOT for her. A Pop Punk song requires some edge to the vocalist's voice and this is not it. If anything she should've maybe rearranged the song to fit her vocals more. Or chosen a different song.
