What are some phrases that sound funny or weird to you?

The one that comes to mind the most is "used to".. I do "use" this phrase, but if you think about it, it does sound weird, imo... Also, I cannot hear the words 'sweetie' or 'honey' without thinking the person is about to make a backhanded quip. lol

The weirdest one that I can think about now is one from my country; "pensar en pajaritos preñados", which literally translates to "to think on pregnant little birds".
