    Apparently Gfriend had renewed their contracts before they got cut and the rumours at the time was they were planning for a Summer comeback. Makes me think they got terminated because of Source absorbing the cost for NewJeans and then having to get help to shill out for Le Sserafim.

    As with it being during the pandemic and Source being left with immense debt it does give credence to focusing on Le Sserafim like what was said as maybe Hybe wasn't prepared to help operate Gfriend. They would have needed to do something with them before they were able to sustain themselves and even then the new contracts could have been in Gfriends favour that made the return smaller for Source.

    Yeah I'd expect that as well but ultimately seems like Gfriend were basically high profile lay offs by Hybe in order to cut Source Musics operating costs and use Big Hits own resources to make Le Sserafim pretty much all from letting Min Heejin just walk away without footing the training costs Source already sunk into NewJeans which is a real high bar to beat for mismanagement.

    Then i read teh NJ member were paid big. prob cuz they didnt have to cover tose costs (although the big 4 do not actually charge teh artists but i would think they still have to have accountants track all that any way.
    Stealing the assets of one sub company for another is a good way to go to jail.
    ie even chevy cold not steal buick designs .. now if GM owned em and gave to both that could work.

    but that looks to clearly not have been what happened in Hybe as they were trying to make shell companies to protect teh BTS nestegg.

    and founding Ador with out the book value of those costs is also pretty sketchy,.

    They might have been since Minji was signed in 2017 which Source could have expected Gfriend to cover the costs and the rest were post the merger so they would've had Big Hit then. It does look strange overall that NewJeans was supposed to be a project between Big Hit, Source and Min Hee Jin but Source got stuck with the bill and then more debt on top when they had to make Le Sserafim as a replacement for Source losing out on getting any return on NewJeans.

    So apparently NewJeans were mostly Source Music trainees that Ador took and was the higher ups rumoured to be against Gfriend and Le Sserafim was made with help from Hybe causing the debt Source Music got into that people tried shifting onto Gfriend like what a messy company. :headache:

    Yeah apparently NewJeans was conceptually the BigHit x Soumu group and Min Heejin was meant to be the director for them with Bang PD helping Soumu create Le Sserafim more in the image he had for the partner group that MHJ disagreed with. This does track as in those old Soumu audition things Minji is the trainee in the poster for those and Soumu accumulated such a massive debt in a relatively short amount of time since they footed the bill for multiple projects that didn't come to fruition until Le Sserafim.

    And at least 2 of the girls who ended up In the PD 101 japan group ME:I were source trainees during that time also.
    Sakura Miu (who was also in gp 999) and Yamamoto Suzu.

    During the finals of produce 48.. after Sakura got second place, they asked her ifs he had anything else to say to anyone and she said "Lee Chaeyeon, I hope we can debut together!"

    Can you tell me about their relationship, I assume they only met during produce 48 and sakura did not even seem to speak korean much?

    Also another question, when Lee Gaeun got eliminated, the girl crying was Yunjin right?! Where those 2 also friends?

    Something happened with one of the groups they aquired on mbc or mbc didnt invite ppl cuz bts sttood em up. i cant remember.

    I think Minju is happy She always wanted to be an actress, she does love to sing and dance and she wrote a fair number of songs for IZ*one.

    Personally i think IZ*ONE was perfect for her both in members and concept. The real friendships coupled with how good of a person she is fit her like a glove.
    The semi girl crush concept of ssera would not have made her happy. Nor that early drama especially if as it looks like garam was just thrown under the bus.

    Minju was perfect as the girl crush units center for IZ*ONE but pretty sure she didnt want girl crush center on her tombstone. I think its the style she found most challenging.

    The clip they recorded of her crying after practice was from learning Mirotic.

    her strength as a writer / producer is sweet melodic harmony ect.

    Really like you. Chaewons Love lane ect.
