    Any particular motivation behind this one? I get you on confusion; I like having a consistent "face" so I always use the same profile pic.

    I am! It's been a busy couple weeks IRL, so it's been like sleep -> work -> everything crowded onto weekends -> repeat. But I decided to make a couple of changes and see if that gives me some more breathing room again. It's just not sustainable, you know?

    I'm doing fine too, thanks for asking. My motivation behind this nick? Well, it comes from the Greece word 'Ataraxia'. You could translate it as Calmness or peace of mind. I read a few books about Stoicism recently. ;-)

    But Ataraxia sounds more like a female username, so I used AtaraXio. Why the capitalized X? I don't know, it looks good somehow. And the idea is shamelessly copied from AleXa lol.

    By the way, what's the meaning of 'centen'?

    I hope they get to perform Cyberpunk there - since that’s one of their most iconic b-sides and it has that futuristic vibe to it which I think would catch the locals attentions idk

    1. Are you collecting EXID?
    2. Do you need Xikers Jinsik?

    I got Jinsik as a reroll option, and I'm realizing how popular the group must be since I see a lot of people collecting Xikers. (I think it might be worse to try to collect a group that has a lot of members AND a lot of people who want to collect them vs. me trying to collect a group only me and the completionists care about lol.)

    So since it's you and you helped me get Saena already, I was thinking, I could select Jinsik if you needed him and then do a trade of my Xikers Seeun and Jinsik for your EXID Haeryung rare?

    Today has been another very hot day, so I didn’t go out. BUT I did spend like more than 2 hours packing stuff and trashing away some other stuff that I had in my room that I didn’t need anymore as we’re currently in the process of moving out

    I have most of the NCT commons and rares after months :lisalaugh: and I completed NCT Dream common and I think i need 2 more for the rare :scree: I have to finish NCT 127 common, I havnt even begun on Wayv (another subunit of NCT) and NOW WE GOT NCT DOJAEJUNG CARDS :shake: I swear a majority of my cards are just NCT :ono:

    well my son is starting to get the hang of games so he's 100% all in on things like dominoes and uno and snakes and ladders and I'm slowly getting in to more complex and difficult games

    Dash, I wanna dash! I still love it lol. It's very earwormy, so it might compete with Wife for brain space tonight. Too many good album drops already. I also looked up the lyrics for Yena's Good Morning and have new appreciation for it.

    On that note, do you change your mind about songs? I normally don't relisten to songs I didn't like enough to come around to liking them, but I can wear out a song and come to find it annoying (like Purple Kiss's Sweet Juice. I swear, Spotify put that in every playlist for me last year.)

    Nice!! It's cool that he's into the same hobbies you are, at least in this area. Will you teach him mahjong? Is that your favorite tabletop game, or do you have others?

    very rarely normally I will give the song another listen maybe for a music show or whatever but rarely will I change my mind about it
    generally I know within like 10 sec if the song is going to be playlist worthy (for me) but there's never been a song that's was a pass for me that turned into "I really like it" lol

    the thing is I'd rather listen to either something I've already liked before (which obviously I like) or something new in which case I start at neutral compared to a song I didn't like which means it's got a higher hurdle to get through

    well he is my son and only 6 so he hasn't developed much of a hobby outside what the family does yet lol
    yes I have started trying
    ummm...my fav would be a chinese game called army chess - it's a bit like the western game stratego if you've ever heard of it but I don't mind playing any tabletop games - the board game I play most with my wife would be takenoko it's a game about a panda eating bamboo??? lol

    Exactly!! I saw a fitness influencer short once who basically went "The best plan is the one that doesn't feel restrictive/like work to you. If you like underwater basket weaving, go do that." Which is both true and made me wonder how one would actually weave a basket underwater lol.

    I just got back from walking my dog and it finally snowed last night. Barely anything, but I agree, rain is weird in winter! Just... not too much snow. I hate getting stuck in traffic for hours.

    I definitely remembered your username!! So I'm glad you posted and reached out. I hadn't really meant to disappear for so long, but it stretched out until it felt weird to come back and then it was even longer and even more weird and ahhh.... :nekosweat: It's funny because I had even listened to a podcast last year, where the guest host was some social scientist and he had done a study that showed that people mostly welcome being reached out to, even if it's been a long time. It's annoying how the brain can convince you of something that's not true, boo.

    There's a book by Julia Shaw that I read some time ago*. She's a German-Canadian criminal psychologist at the London South Bank University (you found some of her English presentations at YouTube). She says that false memories can strongly affect people's minds. So, yeah, never trust your memories and beliefs completely.

    Oh, that's super interesting!! It explains a lot. I've got some family members that tell the same stories over and over, and I've noticed that, sometimes, their stories change in small ways until the story they're currently telling doesn't really match the original story. It's always made me think that, maybe when you think about things too much, you convince yourself that your ruminating is the correct version of events.

    I'm going to add her book to my TBR! Thanks for the recommendation.
