QWER had an insane year for a group under unknown companies, doing the girl band thing. I'm really curious to see how their 2025 progresses. I love it when unexpected acts take over the scene.
I've been thinking about STAYC with this question. "1 Thing" was pretty well received as a minimally promoted B side, and "Cheeky Icy Thang" was very divisive as a title. I can't help but wonder if their big album release would have done better with "1 Thing" as the title, and would have set up...
Oh, good point. They definitely needed a course correction before Giddy and Galileo. (Great songs, but a lot of fans had already checked out by the time they were released.)
Not just songs where because you personally preferred the B side, but it seemingly has more GP appeal, fit more with the group's concept, etc. and would likely have done better?
