Vacuuming, super easy to do, not messy at all. I avoid mopping like the plague, especially after I ruined some tile. I don't get why so many companies make things that are so sensitive to being cleaned. :welp:

I read the first seven of them. Hated books 3 and 7, liked books 1, 4, and 5 well enough, books 2 and 6 existed, and DNF'd book 8, for probably obvious reasons after my last post lol. In an Absent Dream was probably my favorite of the bunch. Reading them in rapid succession made me realize just...

Short version: (plus other stuff, but that's the one that I am no longer willing to read) Longer version:

No specific plans at this point, but I don't mind. My dog always wakes me up so early that if I stay up at a party, I'll just spend Wednesday tired and ruin my last nonworking day. Before the end of the year, I want to finish watching Squid Game, do another puzzle, and finish the current book...

I'm hoping I get to travel more next year too. I did some local road tripping, but I want to have an experience outside the country. I've been thinking of seeing if a local company does their group travel for the monarch migration again. I saw pictures from it last year and it looked magical.

If there are certain things you don't want to read, then fair warning to both you and @Magician to look up the trigger warnings on that one. I read it in 2017, and that was before I reached an "I'm never reading this type of content again" mindset toward some things and some of the stuff in it...

Are you hoping to try more adventures next year?

It's not in the top 50, but I looked up the whole list and can recommend Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. She balances thoughtful books about people with interesting plots pretty well.

I had some highlights and lowlights, but I've solidified a lot of friendships, read a lot of good books, had some cool adventures, and tried some new things, so I'm feeling pretty good about the year behind and the year ahead. :sakUwu:

Sounds like a fun goal, hope you enjoy them! I look at that list and realize I have very different tastes from whoever wrote it. :lisalaugh: Literary/historical character-over-plot stories aren't really my first-choice reads.

Makes sense. It's such an unexpected catastrophe that affected so many people. I kinda admire that their culture isn't just "well that was sad, immediately back to business as usual" like would happen here.
