I am dead. :dying:
If you're doing holiday purchases, do you have your gift lists yet? Are you a last minute shopper or "I've been done since June" kind of shopper?
I know the question is "group" but I can only think of solo acts right now: Baekhyun and Rose. Rose because I'm pretty indifferent to BP as a whole and don't care for any of the other solo music, but I guess after several songs from her in a row, I have to admit I like her. :|
And Baekhyun...
Right now, probably XG. Love the vision behind the group, their artistic direction is so solid and distinct, A+. But when that's removed and it's just their music coming through the speakers, it's a little hit or miss for me.
As expected, tbh. Cube has a great incentive to keep their currently most successful set of artists happy, and the girls have incentive to remain with a company who they know first-hand gives them a lot of what they want (e.g. the big dramatic stages for Super Lady... those are Cube's dancers...
Thank you for the detailed insight! You've reminded me that we've really seen a lot over the past year groups not selling as much as they had previously; the pandemic gravy train has run its course, and I'm not sure how much companies anticipated and adjusted their investments in advance or are...
Sounds like an amazing couple of days! I'm glad you've had a good time!
Yeah, the whole thing is crazy to me. I'm surprised Pledis didn't bother to leverage how successful their Supersonic comeback was this summer into granting whatever concessions the girls would want to sign for even another...
Genuinely curious if you or someone else knows: are any of the members of the three groups popular enough individually for a solo career to be realistic? I feel like we always see idols trying that route vs the less frequent redebut as a new group ala Gfriend -> Viviz or Brave Girls -> BBGIRLS.
Welcome back! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. :sanapray:
fromis_9's exclusive contract with Pledis expires at the end of the year, and it seems none of the members will be re-signing. They're going to release a fan song on 12/23 and that's basically the end of it.
Right?! It was a weird time period, and although some of the extreme saesang behavior was known, to your earlier point, it's not often caught on camera.
For sure. I wonder if the incident triggered festivals like this to have tighter security. He apparently made it that far by just saying he was SNSD's manager and no one questioned him.
