In America we don't say hi a lot of the times before talking to someone. Smiling is like our way of saying hi here, except in formal situations.

no im clearly not the princess because in middle school i was in the cafeteria (literally RIGHT in the middle) and I fell really hard on my butt and everyone laughed at me. i have not tried to conquer those lands since.
