That doesn't really mean much. You can have a mental disorder without being diagnosed. I had a disorder for 7/8 years without being diagnosed with it. It doesn't mean I didn't have it, it just means that I didn't know what was wrong.
I think we have to keep in mind that people with schizophrenia to that extent are quite literally unable to see reality as it is. It's not completely her fault in the slightest. "exposing" her would not do any good, she needs help, not humiliation.
