How so? If bases are to include groping, rubbing, kissing, sucking, oral, penetration, and/or frotting, then wouldn't be the same no matter the sexual orientation.

I would add that being against abuse of gay people doesn't necessarily mean that they approve of same-sex attraction and/or intimacy. Or people might even support gay rights (in some form), but get upset when someone in their family turns out to be gay.
