yeah. I grew up with a learning disability, so I would continue to read BC and BSC until seventh or eighth grade. lol long books with heavy plots just weren't it for me yet. :pandashrug:

it was The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans, but I just recently picked up Drive Me Crazy by Lizzy Dent. If she didn't swear so bad she'd give a sailor a run for his money, I might actually enjoy it since it's a romance novel, but noooooooo that mouth (er, those fingers) of hers are dirtier...

no, but we read 1984 in high school. I did read it on my own time in like late elem or early middle school, but I think I was too immature for it. I was still used to my "plotless" Beverly Cleary and Babysitters' Club books. (which isn't to say they didn't have plots, just not high-fantasy plots...

I'll have to disagree on that. If anti-aging cream and such aren't "havening something done", then Botox certainly isn't! I think she's more referring to surgery, bc Botox is just an injection - you don't have to be knocked out for it... at least afaik lol
