My thoughts exactly. I feel like lesser known boy groups are lesser known than the lesser known girl groups. At least nugu girl groups have some of the general public hear about them in passing. No one hears about lesser known boy groups pretty much ever, except for their fans.

Also, which part of the country was this? Some areas are more, well, patriotic, than others. It all depends. The fact that your story doesn't surprise me does speak volumes though.
