We Are Okay sounds interesting, but was it cliche? Is that why it's poorly rated?

All I've read so far this summer was Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center

I lost my grandma in October and a man who was a second father to me I believe a year ago. I was kind of fresh sort of fresh out of my own grieving process and the way the book handled grieving made me...frustrated?? Also, it was pretty boring and forgettable.

Can you tell me more about The Beautiful Ones ? :susPepe:
It takes place in Historical France where a girl named Nina who is "unladylike" and also has the ability to move things with her mind is sent to the city to stay with her cousin and his evil wife. She is sent to learn how to be a proper lady and possibly get courted by a gentlemen befitting of her name and fortune. However, Nina ends up falling for an entertainer named Hector who has the same ability she does and he uses it to entertain the rich. But when him and Nina start interacting it is revealed that there is something a little more that happened between him and someone else in Nina's life that greatly complicates things.
