It definitely seems like a natural shift to allow the more crazier dances. Even with height, 4th and 5th gen platforms and chunky heels are stable.
Aside from tennis shoes and sneakers, I wouldnt say 100% comfortable since most shoes even those flat boots require breaking into, but still stable enough for Itzy-like complex dances.

yeh ofc they still wear high heels, just no stilettos (unless you're ningning dancing next level)
