So the ones who didn't renew are China line (no surprise, they haven't gotten actual WJSN music since 2018) and 97 line, Dawon and Luda

I think if they comeback, Dawon and Luda will still be part of the group as Dawon is a main vocal, wrote a song for the group recently, and just came back from hiatus last comeback, while Luda is a member of Chocome and I don't see Chocome going on without her

As for the Chinese members I guess this means they officially left after 5 years hiatus (Dreams Come True was in February 2018)

she wasn't on queendom bc she was on hiatus for her anxiety then returned with their comeback

Luda, because of Chocome, I don't see them continuing on without her, or at least not Chocome
Besides that though, she's considered the "smartest" in the group at least in an academic sense, math and science whiz, memorized periodic table, and is popular among fans for her cuteness but blunt and cynical thoughts/sayings/personality and being "chihuahua from hell" but considering WJSN as a whole are great at variety and all I think Chocome would be the main reason Starship would want to collab with wherever she joins (I'm sure the girls would want her in the group still if she wants to be)

First of all not the Luda birthday banner being up with the notice of her not renewing

Second of all, it says the Chinese members who also had a contract under Yuehua's contracts for WJSN were automatically terminated (which sounds to me like Starship wanted to end the collab with Yuehua so bc of that not continuing they didn't get a chance to renew their contracts, even if they wanted to, though I don't think the would bc they haven't participated in WJSN music for years)

Third of all, WJSN official website and profile has all WJSN members on it, all 13, even the Chinese members

I was very hesitant to start listening to WJSN despite knowing making the gg music I like so I'm relieved that it seems WJSN will continue. I listened way too much to the K-Pop doomers that come out expecting every group to disband when their contract renewal time happens.

I'm glad that the members all resigned as that gives me a go ahead to fully invest myself into becoming a fan of their music. I was quite firm in my opinion that if I was in their position I'd only re-sign if every member re-signed as well but I guess I may have lied because I probably would've resigned in this situation too.

Though tbh, I'm more surprised that so many decided to re-sign. Starship hasn't seemed to quite land on what they want to do with the group.

While it is a good thing that 8 out of 10 current members decided to renew their contracts, I was more surprised that Luda decided not to renew her contract (I expected Dawon not renew once the group's 7th anniversary).

Regarding C-Line, I was not surprised that contracts were terminated once after the contracts expired.

The china line is expected. Hopefully the two others will find a path that makes them happy and successful from here. And hopefully the members that stayed will also do well and starship will do better for them (but expectations are very low..)
