Honestly, I would appreciate this more if most of the members in both groups weren't children. I've always been on the fence about companies debuting minors. I mean, 17 is one thing, but 13? I don't think that's necessary, nor do I think it should be acceptable. At that point, it starts to feel less like developing young talent and more like child exploitation for profit.
The industry can be incredibly brutal, and teenagers are already going through a delicate stage of life. They're still developing physically and emotionally, trying to figure out who they are while navigating puberty, self-esteem, and the pressures of fitting in. Now imagine going through all of that while having your appearance, weight, talent, and every little mistake scrutinized by millions of people online. The internet can be cruel, and I genuinely don't think a 13-year-old should have to shoulder that kind of pressure just to entertain people and make a company money.

It doesn't surprise me given how young BoA was debuted, and the industry never really moved away from that. The LITE girls especially have very BoA-like styling.

And one hand, I get the appeal to companies: if you can get a 13-year-old to have a fanbase, you're basically guaranteed a decade of support, even for male idols going into military service. But with the limitations on the industry these days (they can only work 7 hours a day, no more than 35 hours per week, and can't work between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.) that it does seem like... you couldn't have waited until they were at least 15 (when some of those restrictions ease a bit and the idol in question might have a bit more thoughts on if they really want this)?

It's a hard situation, and I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to support, not even listening to their songs, or has complicated feelings about it. Like A2O MAY is right there and they're all adults, and broader across the industry, there are a lot of other groups who target the same genres that you can feel better about supporting.
