I see Gidle disbanding from Cube. Soyeon creating her own label in which majority of the girls will join her, one or two will join another. All girls still want to preform as a group stretching this prediction but hopefully soojin joins them. Possible lawsuit battle in use of their name and music rights.

It's possible it would happen, but Cube is an established company (for better and worse) with established contacts within the industry, and gives the girls an enormous amount of freedom, as evidenced by them speaking about how they pushed for more budget on the Super Lady MV and the amount of credits they're getting on all aspects of the album. It's not the Cube show, or even the Soyeon show, but all of them together.

I think Cube is also a company that doesn't even sort of bother to try to distribute the resources among its artists evenly, but if you're the golden goose, you're sitting pretty.

true! i think that logically it wont be that easy for soyeon to just start a company and move there i try not to get my hopes up like when people made rumors about chuu opening her own agency

I don't understand this, anyways I'll just be happy with wat we get from IDLE n CUBE until they announce if/when the members renew/resign or otherwise with CUBE. idk if CUBE would be ok if Yuqi, Shuhua, Minnie were not in CUBE n still remain in IDLE for group activities but tats for future consideration.

I just always wondered about the Soojin situation. I think most people think that Cube handled it pretty poorly and ofc as everyone is under contract, the other members could never speak about it, but somehow you just see hints here and there that give the impression they are not too happy with cube. Like the clip posted here, I think thats pretty crazy honstely. Also the recent move by Cube where they try to trademark the groupname all of a sudden.. it just looks really shady.

G-Idle is a group I like, but I don't know them super well, so I don't want to speculate too much, but from what I heared, Soyoen was pretty close with Soojin. So at least I can imagine a situation where she is still holding a grudge against Cube for how things went down. Maybe other members too.

Also I really wonder what would happen if they don't stay, with Soyeon being the producer and songwriter of most title songs and other members also having writing credits on many of the remaining songs, I really wonder if cube could even prevent them from still performing those songs if they leave

I dunno I thought this to be surprising - ie I would be surprised if they all renewed

1. GG just do not renew with the same company that they started with - currently in the entirety of kpop only four groups have the initial members renewed with the same company that they debuted with (Dreamcatcher, Mamamoo*, Twice, BP*) * because solo activities different entities

2. Gidle seems to rely on Cube less - aka Cube needs Gidle more than Gidle needs Cube and therefore if they renewing then it's a pretty sweet deal in favour of Gidle

3. Gidle members have lots and lots of solo activities - and solo activities tend to indicate going and doing their own thing (whilst still being Gidle)

4. Gidle members have taken a lot of shots at cube previously and still do these days

yeah, i don't see them having another lineup change or leaving CUBE in any way. i think (g)i-dle has a lot of freedom right now in their careers, especially soyeon. CUBE sucks but also opening a new agency wont be as easy and i doubt they would be able to promote as g idle if soyeon ends up doing that anyways
