As i understand it it sucks for them too as concerts are considered the fun part of the job. Its why some bands do over 200 dates a year.

But which rock band played the most concerts in a single year? That distinction goes to the Grateful Dead, who played an astonishing 522 concerts in 1972. That's an average of more than four concerts per week!

There is a german local act that did The most concerts performed in one year is 727, achieved by Kurorchester Bad Kissingen at venues around Bad Kissingen, Germany, from 1 June 2010 to 31 May 2011. that is pretty saturated 700 show in the same area in a year.

I'm not sure what you mean 4 concerts per week? Thats more than 7 concerts a week, a year has only 365 days, so they played an aeverage of 1 1/2 concerts per day?!

And for the german local band.. thats pretty much 2 concerts per day for an entire year, I do not understand how they can keep that up

i quoted both of those, anddid not check the math .. bad rand. i would imagine the dead did multiple shows on the weekend and the articles author ment to say 4 venues per week.
They were famous for many many fans following them around from stop to stop.
PPl would spend the whole year going to all the shows.
