To be clear: imo a non issue but celebrities really need to think their excuses through if they're adamant about giving them. Most of the time, it's gets them into even more trouble than the actual event that needed excusing in the first place.

I don't want to say she could have been nice about it because she's human. She's allowed to get angry. Getting hate for taking a selfie with someone you didn't know was problematic is a bit too much. Fans need to tone down on the hate as well. If they're going to be hostile to her, she's also going to be hostile back and the cycle just repeats.

As far as i'm concerned as long as he's not actively advocating for people to follow his actions then it's a personal issue that you just judge based on how you feel about the subject but not a reason to bombard someone for.

Her taking a picture with him honestly means nothing. Plenty of singers have done songs with him since 2009 (i.e. Brandy's Put it down) and none of them condone domestic violence..

I don't like Chris Brown, mainly because of the things he's done since 2009.. and even the way he handled the '09 incident.. But I will say this. There are numerous singers from before 2009 who did worse things and are still immortalized and through whom many innovations in music would not have been made. Jimmy Page is legendary, but look at his personal background. Ailee is a fan of CB music. Her having a selfie is more about hugging someone who are a musical idol than anything else. Get over it.

Chris Brown also abused Karrueche Tran in 2017 to the point that he received a restricting order and can’t approach her anymore but let’s pretend than this man doesn’t deserve to be cancelled. Many women who are victims of domestic abuses forgive again and again and we all know how it sometimes ends up.

As for Ailee, I hope that she truly doesn’t know about what he did. She deleted the photo and it’s the most important thing for me.

Yes. And some trashy news outlets even spin it around and bashed T-ara for lipsynching. Like they really got humiliated by him and that collab did nth good for their careers in US. That's why so many kpop fans are against any kind of collab rumors between Chris Brown and kpop artists. Not only he's individual with anger issues who has beaten his gfs, he has no respect.

Yeah I don’t believe that ailee didn’t know about Chris browns past offenses towards women.... everyone knows about that. Even though it happened in 2009, even the newer generation knows what he did. She’s also from the west. Chris brown is kinda known for that incident. so nah I’m not buying that excuse That she “didn’t know”. But I don’t think she should be crucified for it.
