Alcohol and age restriction: 18 or 21? (1 Viewer)

i went i think end of summer.

My dad drove them, for that trip.

I just remember i even had a special license( at 16) that allowed me to drive up to semi's ( although i did not drive big rigs. it was more for insurance to drive company trucks at work)

I'd have it be the same age as voting age everywhere. Old enough to vote should be old enough to drink imo.

Ofc people start early anyway lmao.

I’ve never drank in my life, so I don’t know if my opinion would be valid, but I think 18. It’s the legal adult age; 21 seems too old for someone to legally be able to drink.

I do not agree with the drinking age being 21, when at the age of 18 we are allowed to go into the armed forces (military) and risk our lives for our country. It's silly we can sign up for war and wage our life yet can't have a drink.

And this is coming from someone who hates alcohol. Most teenagers have had a taste by time they turn 18, let alone 21.

18 makes sense though most start lot earlier. Can't see the point of 21 though, 18 is already adult.

16 is fine imo, most of us drank before that age anyway. I first had alcohol as young as 7 (with my parents around). It was a very small amount. Although I don't think 7 is a good age lol, but as for the case of teenagers I find it OK as long as adults are around.

logically i'd say 18 but personally as someone who's witnessing a friend close to becoming an alcoholic at 20 i'd say 21

either the age to enlist for the military should rise to 21 or the drinking age should lower to 18. like many others have said, i think its ridiculous to be able to sacrifice your life yet not drink.
in general i also think being considered "a legal adult" at 18 but a "True Adult" by 21 is kinda weird. like, which is it?????
