Going to call it a rumor at this point. I hate to say it but Source disbanding Gfriend actually makes a ton more sense now. Hopefully people don't start taking it out on NJ's. Those girls were just a long for a ride. It's not their fault hybe made stupid decisions.

I've spoken about this and to me it comes across as Gfriend being basically layoffs because of the debt incurred from NewJeans and Le Sserafim which does absolve Gfriend of any blame but also Source and shifts the blame onto poor management from Hybe pretty much.

As unless Min Heejin had something on Hybe they put Source in a position where they had debt because of building a group and the group got snatched away from them they got left with the bill for. Terrible management from Hybe which is no surprise with some of the other puzzling decisions they have made in other instances.

Source music paid for the development of New Jeans and then MHJ stole them from Source and a lot of employee's and created Adore. It's speculated that is why Sorce Music disbanded gfriend. Also I don't read most of the articles I post. You got lucky today.

Well seems like if Min Heejins press conference is to be believed that Hybe might have indeed been intending to sabotage aespa had they got hold of SM as one of the messages was supposedly Bang PD asking if NewJeans would overtake aespa which definitely isn't the kind of attitude you'd want directing your group.

Well I won't say fromis won't disband but if Hybes side is to be believed then I don't see Pledis getting into the same situation of being in a tough spot for money since the mess Hybe made of Source would be an impressive mess to end up replicating.
