I generally like reading so I was curious if there was any other users who like reading
Personally I like Romance, Slice of Life, Historical, Non-Fiction, Auto Biography, Biography, Social Life, Drama, Poetry

I am! I'm part of two book clubs, one that's scifi/fantasy and a second one that just started that's for graphic novels. I read a lot of fantasy myself, so I joined them mostly to broaden my reading.

I'm currently reading:

• The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
• Scattered All Over the Earth by Yoko Tawada

My current tbr stack of books I've paid for but not read is... 10! And that doesn't include the two books I need to buy for February's book clubs.

Whats the "Scattered All Over The Earth" about?

I'm not that far into it yet, but basically, global warming has caused sea levels to rise to the point that some nations no longer exist. The story is starting with a former resident of Japan, and her quest to find other "climate refugees" and pieces of her culture.

That makes it sound like a downer, but it's actually REALLY funny so far. The book starts with a guy learning about the climate crisis because he was too lazy to get up and find the remote to change the channel. Which, relatable.

A year ago, I wouldn't have even picked it up, but it's been nice to pick up things other people like and gain an appreciation for them, even if it's not my first choice, you know? I've also been doing a lot of listening on audiobook, so that helps with checking out books like this, because walking my dog is kind of dead time otherwise, lol

Do you have any special interests when reading non-fiction books?

I like them to be kinda relate to things one goes through or shows hidden messages throughout the book like Fahrenheit 451, I thought it was a boring book but turns out in the end it wasnt
DOES NOT MEAN ONLY BASED ON WHAT I GO THROUGH
But for also advise & the some sadness in the life of the real world & what character one becomes

my favgenre are isekai, fantasy, time travel, supernatural, mystery, thriller.
