well, apparently, it's in a movie now - Deadpool and Wolverine. idk about y'all, but doesn't that combo just not mix well? I mean, Deadpool and Wolverine are mainly targeted at the male demographic, while boy bands like N Sync are mainly targeted at females. (emphasis on MAINLY - I'm sure there are guys out there who listen to boybands [we even have one on here, @kimsguardian !] and girls who watch those types of movies) Am I the only one who thinks this?

i would assume he is being snarky. that is the whole stick of Deadpool.
i mean isnt he getting friendly with a stuffed pink unicorns in the first one. That is the only one i saw. I have 4th wall issues very few books and movies click with me that break it.

It 10000% suits Deadpool. "Ashes" -- the main original song from Deadpool 2 -- was deliberately designed to sound like a 90s song, and Ryan wanted Celine Dion specifically because she would suit the "Deadpool universe" as it was. And then the MV has Deadpool doing an interpretative dance while Celine sings.

So using N*SYNC's Bye Bye Bye is just consistent with the established lore of what kind of character Deadpool is.
