News Apink's agency denies accusations of school violence involving Chorong (1 Viewer)

Apink’s agency has responded to claims of Chorong being a perpetrator of school violence.

An individual “A” told a news outlet on April 5, “In 2008 when I was 18, I ran into Park Chorong on a street in the neighborhood of Sachang. I was smiling, and she glowered at me while appearing displeased.”

“A” continued, “Then Park Chorong’s friends said to me, ‘Hey, Chorong wants to hit you,’ and dragged me to an alleyway. Park Chorong said, ‘I did not like the way you smiled at me,’ slapped my face, and kicked my shin.”

According to “A,” Chorong apologized when they got in contact with her, and when asked for an official apology, Chorong asked to meet up. “A” did not want to meet up due to trauma from the past incident, and in their second phone call, Chorong reportedly changed her words to say that she did not commit violence against “A.” “A” says that they have an audio recording of the first phone call.

“A” shared that another friend who also took part in the violence called them right afterwards and said their memory is wrong.

As Chorong recently took legal action against “A” for defamation by alleging false information and attempted coercion, “A” plans on responding by taking legal action for false accusation. The legal representative of “A” commented, “There is lots of evidence that the accusation [made against ‘A’] is false. We will take firm action against Park Chorong.”

In response to this report, Apink’s agency Play M Entertainment said on April 5, “This claim is entirely an attempt to damage reputation. Park Chorong has been threatened with the same claims already, and the facts were made clear, but ‘Kim’ continuously went against the conclusion that has been reached regarding the facts. As we revealed in our previous statement, we will also use evidence to take firm legal action regarding this matter until the end.”

Chorong is 30 int age 31+ in Korea and she is spinning a story from 13 years ago.
this age thing is annoying i assume she is saying she was 16 or 17 sophomore or Junior hs age.

Its just weird timing Chorong has been hyper active for a decade and the agency is claiming they have a judgment already?

Also random violence from a street encounter.... were it true its highly unlikely that its an isolated event.

So Chorong would've conveniently been 18 as well but this story just doesn't sound believable at all like of all the things to go 0 to 100 about the way someone smiles at you just isn't it.

I don't wanna make assumptions about these kind of things but this seems like an obvious exaggeration.
However stranger things have happened so who knows? I'm leaning toward PlayM/Chorong's side of things for now though.
