Did you get good grades at school, college, etc? or were they not good?
If they were not good, were you disappointed in getting the results you got?

For me, I didn't get very good grades, however, grades are just some letters on some paper, and you can get the information you want to get on the internet now anyway.

So, although my grades weren't that good, I still have so much ambition and for what I want to do with my future, grades don't matter as I just learn it and then implement what I have learned and I'm doing well at what I'm doing right now.

I went to college, passed all of my classes, but I didn't do anything with it and didn't go to Uni, although I did go to Open University for about a couple of years until I realized that I could make something of myself without any grades, etc.

I do think you need education though, and people do need to socialize, but I think self-education is just as great, if not, even better.

I just think grades for me is not important and haven't defined the person I am today.

they might seem important while in school but in a long term not really. i accepted that i'm not exactly a good student as i simply have a terrible memory for things and i'm not willing to sacrifice things like my health for studying all night or something. grades don't define you, having bad grades doesn't exactly mean you're stupid and same goes the other way. for example the girl who had the highest grades for 3 years in a row in my high school class was a homophobic anti-vaxxer :wimwim:

yes and no. i do remember being really upset a few times at a grade, but the teacher had missed tests or assignments.

sometimes to important i should have stayed in classes that i was iffy about and pushed thru. made school too long.

I guess at some point they were, unless it was a college class I just needed for credit but had no interest in. But I haven't thought about grades in years.

They were. Now I think I had them a bit overrated. Sure, I needed them to enter the uni I went to; but my grades weren't good right there, and my self-esteem took a blow in consequence. Good grades or not; I still have big dreams.

I would constantly push myself to the breaking point. Parental pressure didn’t help and then I internalized it. I would beat myself up if I didn’t do good. And by good I mean 90% or higher. Because that was what was expected of me. My brother had natural smarts, according to his IQ he’s a genius. I struggled a lot in school and felt like I had to compete with him. So yeah grades did matter to me, that was until I got into college and I’ve learned to accept what I get. If I get lower than that 90% I shouldn’t take ot out on myself

very important to me, i had a breakdown when i failed my 12 year (11th grade) science among other subjects. i would always strive for an a but after i got a bad grade i felt horrible. a lot of it is due to parental presusre, but i would be lying if i said it was only for that
