Are those born in 90s too old for Gen Z trends??? (1 Viewer)

Technically and based on definition anyone born after 95 is part of the Gen Z and yet sometimes I feel like for someone of my age born in late 90s I would be side eyed if I dance to Tik Tok trends, enjoy series like Euphoria and Wednesday or dress like this



The thing is a whole bunch of people born in late 90s say they relate to millenials better but I dont, indeed.

I've never really related to any particular group. I'm 41, love kpop girl groups, used to be a computer nerd but now I would rather light up my forge or fire up a welding rod. My 4 favorite things are heat (not to be confused with fire), electricity, metal and K-POP. I don't drink, smoke, or do illicit drugs but put a bottle of Vicodin in front of me and there's gonna be an empty Vicodin bottle very quickly... I spent my hole life wishing I could fit in and now I hope I never do. It's ok not to fit a definition. Infact, it's more entertaining and fun not to. It seems like the most unhappy are the ones who fit in.

I definitely feel caught in the middle - I can relate in some ways to Gen Z and Milennials, depending on the subject. I think that’s pretty normal for people on the edges of a generation.

I was edge of the 90's/87.

I feel old for some trends these days.
But it all depends on the person.

Also, because I wanted to say something funny and controversial. You know me! Do you really want to fit in to the two generations that eat tide pods, swallow spoon fulls of cinnamon, document their crimes on social media and then are confused when they get arrested, I'm pretty sure I could put a million examples of stupid things those generations did. At least in my generation we were smart enough not to record our stupidity!

I can't help it tho, I am already into Tik Tok so this isnt even about not being able to fit in. I actually fit in, perfectly. Bases on definition and based on preferences.
