Are you able to handle constructive criticism? Personally, I can handle it up to a certain point. If the person starts turning it into nitpicking everything, I did wrong, then I start getting annoyed. If not, I try to take it and learn from it the best I can.

Ig? Idk i grew up getting told i was so smart and stuff like that so ig my mindset is just like "if i get critiqued, i must start over" or something like that but i do try not letting that take over me

sometimes, but it really. depends. if it's something that i'm passionate about and something that's important to me then i might take a bit harder

not really lol I mean, I can take "This story/painting/drawing is cute, but it could use some improvement" and then suggestions on doing so, but if I goet a lot of negative critiques on something, I'll just scrap the whole thing. Like, I once wrote a story about a domestic abuse victim finding love, but I had to scrap it bc I was told I don't know enough about domestic abuse and what they actually go through. Which is true, I'll give them that, but still...

what I don't like is being told based on an incorrect assumption of my emotions and how I express them, hypocrisy, and aggression

it depends, but I am the type of person who is already very self-critical and perfectionist type so it's more likely I have already thought all the constructive criticism I've gotten from people about things myself first, but hearing it from people is always a learning experience to take on, of course that depends on the context

the question is what defines or qualifies as constructive?
is the opinion of the giver of the criticism? or the receiver?
does that then make such criticism as subjective? ie. well I as the giver intended it to be constructive but somehow you as the receiver considered it not...
