I personally grew up watching the movies so obviously it‘s a world I have adored since childhood. I don’t think anything can make the good memories be replaced in my opinion. The world of HP is it‘s own thing and personally I think it’s safe to say that you don’t have to support the writer but still enjoy the elements in HP.

yep read/own em all unhard back and dvd.. love the first 2 movies especially.
they were the thing that got some of my family into reading which is a win ....

Its a interesting and accessible world for beginners and not horrid for adults (unlike say twilight..)

I love the movies. They were so good I’ve rewatched them multiple times.

I like the world more than I like the canon content.
I think I spent more time in fanon and meta circles than I did focusing on the actual canon of HP.

I have a slight nostalgia (and I sorted Slytherin each time for over a decade whenever I randomly decided to make a new account, lol), but it comes and goes.
