As a tiny Moguri I loved clowns a lot, I was really shocked and confused when I later found out, that many children are scared of them

can you say why joker and harley are okay, from their look they are the same as other clowns I would say?

To me they are closer to being jesters than clowns. I know that's Harley's design, she's a jester. I think the Joker is meant to be more of a trickster.

That's a good question. A lot of it is that the Joker and Harley are characters, and I haven't experienced any real people being those without cosplaying them. With clowns I think it's mostly the whole white face big red nose and demeanor that scares me. Also, in media clowns are often portrayed to be creepy characters so that has also probably had an effect on me as I grew up around horror movies.

the stranger had a gun

I think they even managed to scream "its a prank, its a prank" in the last second, but the victim was already too panicked and shot him

Same here. I still have a hard time believing people find then creepy or scary. I grew up thinking that clowns are mostly entertainers for children, and I still think so.
