I agree, I enjoy queerbaiting from time to time as long as it does not go overboard. I feel that fans use queerbating as an excuse to automatically assume that their faves are gay, bi, straight or whatever the case may be and I don't think that it's okay at all

The issue with queerbaiting is that people start assuming that every gay person is only interested in sexual relations and it basically causes the LGBTQ+ community to be fetishized which is a problem.

Well the sexuality of an idol really shouldn't matter to anyones enjoyment of them or not considering they ain't got a snowballs chance in hell of doing anything intimate with them.

As for the queerbaiting well idols are there to sell fantasies to people and it was only a matter of time before they expanded from just heterosexual attraction into marketing towards homosexual attraction as well.

You shouldn't assume someones sexuality regardless and fans have no reason to be asking about an idols sexuality given they aren't in a position where that would be relevant let alone the dangers that comes with it from how Korea is but even if your fave isn't the same sexuality as you however they are still the same person.

yeah those jokes feel really uncomfortable and tasteless (I mean imagine getting your rl friendships psychoanalyzed to satisfy fans who fetishize mlm or wlw relationships)
unless ofc, said idol is out (explicitly or implicitly) and is fine with it
