I am auditioning for an entertainment, because last time I came so close but I couldn't go to the second round because my parents didn't have the time and didn't support me. But now, since it's nearly the holidays, I want to get off my crusty ass and actually do something to achieve the dream that I love.

So I need song recommendations and whether I should sing a Korean song or English song.

Give your honest opinion on which song I should learn.

My voice is a tenor, and I can roughly sing around B2 ~ G4

Do you have any song recommendations? (Also even if you don't understand any of this stuff still recommend songs ty)

I personally say, if you can sing a Korean song and an English song, then do both!
I can't think of any songs rn and I also don't have access to Youtube rn, but if you can sing both languages, then you should do so!
I think it would be more of a pro to your audition!

Depends on how good your Korean is. I'd definitely sing an English song if I were to audition.
If you don't speak Korean fluently, I'd tell you to sing English. But I don't know your language ability, so if you think your Koreans good, I'd give it a shot.
try to audition with a song that has vocals and rap. Its always good to be multi talented :pepeheart:

I think it depends on the agency?

This guy for example talked about jyp:

I want to audition for JYP do you know whether he has a genre preference or whether the company does?

Also my Korean pronunciation is alright if I learn a song well enough.

AHHHHHHHHHHH JYP

I would definitely recommend doing both English and Korean if possible since that would be a great bonus!

I accidentally posted early!

As for genre: try to find songs that are similar to the vibe that JYP's boy groups have!

Also, if you want to know what it's like being a JYP trainee, I would recommend reading this:

Hmm...an amateur tenor.

It's better for you to sing in English, because I'm sure the only Korean songs you know are GG songs, too high for you.

I would say you could sing Oohyo's "Vineyard" in a lower key; It has both English & Korean versions.
Choerry sang the Korean version in Hertz.

Thanks for all the help guys I've tried out a lot of songs (including Korean) and I think I settled on Tori Kelly's "Paper Hearts" (totally not because Jungkook say it but okay)
