What are some of the best experiences you have had with your teachers/professors?

Some of mine:

• In undergrad I had this hard professor [who was my thesis advisor] who was known to be a dick. He told me that my literature review was so good that he might use it as an example in class of how people should have done theirs.
• I had another professor who I struck up a conversation about East-Asian History and he decided to buy me a book on Asian Geography.
• Lastly, a professor who I was extremely close with bought me a book on the Sudanese conflict that was going on at the time. She also offered to help me study for a class that she wasn't teaching, but she knew was very difficult.

In HS my history then later psychology teacher made me enjoy those two subjects. I can't remember how she did it, but I knew I was never a fan of those subjects until she taught me. Also one of the only teachers who never gave me crap for being quiet.

There was this one professor in our dept that we all liked because he was just so nice. Always complimented our work, and if we needed to improve he just let us know where we needed to without being an ass about it. Definitely wasn't a pushover, but he didn't have to be because he was very helpful.
