Oh i think there is almost two messes here. I get the Covid stuff, he had more time, but the wording is off a bit. Especially when plp have been quite sensitive towards celebrities posting about covid.

The sample is probably larger issue? I think depending on lyrics it could be ok to me, if it's social commentary though it's still pretty controversial. But from the reddit link, they were talking about using it as aesthetic which rly isn't wisest.

Yeah I think we can imagine what he meant with the "thanking Covid-19" but the wording he used is really just way off.

The Covid stuff was just poor wording on his part imo, but sampling the Jim Jones stuff, yikes. There's no way he didn't know who the man was and made a conscious decision to do it.

Ofc with how massive the fandom is, he'll be shielded but it's a pretty nonsensical thing to do.

alright, in my opinion, this is... distasteful. there are a lot of preachers he could have used... Jim Jones was the leader of a cult and forced 900, men, women, and children to poison themselves, I don't think this was the right way to go.
