at my college once every quarter theyd have a day during finals time where theyd have a room full of emotional support dogs you can chill with to calm down. it was very wholesome. we need more of it!!!!

My uni had therapy dogs once
Emotional support animals are great as long as they're not disruptive and allowed. I'm against people bringing emotional support animals places they're not allowed to go and causing harm to others as a result. Even worse are those who realize the emotional support animals excuse won't fly in areas pets are banned and then get service dog vest so they can let their dogs in areas that non service dogs are banned from and then cause a ruckus. And lastly the people who have a pet dog that they don't even claim as a emotional support animal and are basically just "Fluffy's a good boy, he wouldn't harm a fly!" while Fluffy's drooling on food at the grocery or trying to pick a fight with a legitimate service dog. I got off topic but some people just annoy me

Yes definitely My doctors office had a kitty at one time and I was incredibly anxious before my appointment and the only reason I could make it through was because of him.

Big agree tbh. My moms large dog was at one point going through training to be her service dog (she has a lot of mobility difficulties and severe asthma). And while out training him sometimes there would be people being extremely disrespectful and interrupting our sessions by getting his attention, petting him or letting their dogs approach him while he had a vest and tons of other things on the vest asking people to leave him alone. It could be extremely annoying.

Completely agree with you both. They can be wonderful, but sometimes, not so much.

we had emotional support dogs at my high school on my birthday in 10th grade

I missed it bc I was sick (which was actually me having a panic attack ironically)

If I went to school that day I assume I spent that time doing pull ups in the gym
