What fears did yall have as children?

When I was a kid, I was deathly afraid of escalators.
I thought they were gonna suck me up or kill me ( I blame the cartoons I watch lol XD )
I remember this one time, I had to go down one but my parent's hands were full and I had an ice cream drumstick in my hand.
This was bad because I usually held my parent's hand and the escalator handle.
Bruh , it was terrifying af.
I remember crying so hard because of how quick-moving it was.
Shit was traumatizing affff.
Luckily, a passerby held my hand and reassured me.
Tbh , I have no idea how I got rid of this fear XD

What’s funny is I wasn’t scared of that as a kid but now I get nervous when reaching the top of escalators because I’m paranoid something will get caught. Not scared to the point of crying or anything, just mildly nervous
But as a kid I don’t think I was scared of much of anything. Nowadays is another story.

Within a similar vein, I was scared of lifts/elevators. Very specifically a lift that was in my Nanny’s block of flats. It was tiny, it was rickety, and there was a window where you could see all the mechanics as to how the lift was going up/down. She lived on the sixth floor, so stairs weren’t an option, and I would close my eyes and hug somebody I was with whenever I was in it.

this is so stupid omg but i was TERRIFIED of using public toilets lmao not because of the germs but because i genuinely thought i would somehow break the toilet if i sat on it

i was also terrified of someone accidentally pressing a button in the elevator, or leaving someone behind on the bus so i would always count heads and yell at everyone to stay away from the buttons lmao i had crazy anxiety about everything as a kid but im good now

When I was a kid I was afraid of the dark, thunder, shadows. Whenever I turned off a light, I ran upstairs to my bed thinking I was being followed (I still have that sometimes xD). And Spiders

My older brother gave me a fear of the dark because we used to always play in our unfinished basement and he would turn the lights off on me when I was down there and then run up the stairs and stand on the other side of the door and not let me up

I can't remember any tbh. I used to get scared of people dying in a plane crash whenever they left from visiting but I wasn't a child then, I was 14

As a little kid, I honestly don't think I was scared of anything. I was impulsive but had no shame, I wouldn't get embarassed

All my "fears" had to do with scenes out of action movies because of my overactive imagination ig

I also didn't like the dark for a while bc you couldn't tell if a serial killer was there

In the 7th grade my friend asked if I would be scared of someone following me in an alley alone, with a knife, and I'd just be irritated

I'm not really scared of physical things more things like not being in control of myself, complacence, etc.
