So I caved out of curiosity (and the fact I’m a Miracle) and listened to Shark. I thought it wasn’t massively bad at first, but then the chorus happened and it went down hill so quickly after that. I now understand why it won disappointment of the year.

See now stereotype would be my stacyc surprise i like it far more than asap. Love so sweet ended up in my top 10 for the year after what felt like fnc just giving up, so that would have been my over all surprise.

The song was pretty forgettable for me compared to ASAP which would actually occasionally get stuck in my head. I would also dance to ASAP randomly where as I don't even remember a single move from Stereotype. The song was super forgettable for me which is why it was a disappointment. I'm not a massive fan of STAYC so me liking ASAP was a surprise and then Stereotype coming around the corner and dboring me afterwards upset me.

i listened to shark again cos i wasnt paying much attention to the music/lyrics when it came out, just the video n YooA n the others in thevideo. they were pretty n it seemed high budget to me then. but today it struck me as not impressive/just normal song wise. so not their best.

i liked some of the nominees in other categories, but not familiar with any/most of the winners, tats ok. i dint listen to as much in 2021 as i did in 2020/2019 it seems like.so its expected i flopped at knowing ur 2021 winners. still good to see all ur picks, chipsie.
