Hello, this is 2C Ent. (Second Chance Entertainment). We're pleased to share some news with all of you. It's our first step marking a new beginning.

We had some serious discussion on where the company is heading. Our vision is giving a second chance to people, and to do so, we're debuting our first K-pop boy group named 크로노스 aka Chronos, which means time in Greek.

Compared to other groups who choose young kids and train them, we instead chose to give a new chance and life to 5 young men from disbanded groups.

Official Colors: Orange and Magenta-Pink

Fandom Name: Our Glass
With Our Glass, (like hourglass), Chronos' path becomes clear. Glass also represents rebirth, signifying a new beginning for the members of Chronos together with Our Glass.

First, we have Matt (Mateo Jung), the leader, main dancer and lead vocal of the group. He's a former member of Horangi, which debuted in 2016 and disbanded in 2020 due to the other three members wanting to go their separate ways and abandoning the idol life.

Furthermore, we have Sam (Samuel Hwan), a lead vocal of the group. He's a former member of ILLIS, which debuted in 2019 but disbanded in 2020 because of the pandemic.

Joy (Yang Jeyou) is the face of the group, visual, lead rapper, and sub-vocal. He's a former member of Insciens from 2017 to 2020. The group disbanded because of a lawsuit against its CEO regarding mistreatment and conflicts within the company.

Then, we have Yuuchi Imai, the main rapper, lead dancer, and sub-vocal of the group. He made it into the group Y2 and debuted in 2017, but they disbanded in 2020 because they were a survival show group that executed a concept that once finished, the group would disband.

Finally, Segi (Kwon Yong) is the maknae, main vocal, and sub-rapper. He's a former member of Colossus High from 2019 to 2020. The group disbanded after barely a year because they weren’t successful enough and had a small company.

LORE AND CONCEPT

Intro to Lore:
In 2021, five former idols stumbled across a cave. Kwon Yong, formerly of Colossus High, Yuuchi Imai, formerly of Y2, Yang Jeyou, formerly of Insciens, Samuel Hwan, formerly of ILLIS and Matt Jung, formerly of Horangi were on a trip to Jeju island. Their groups had all disbanded the previous year, and none of them had managed to get a fresh start and continue in the kpop industry, but they couldn't give up their dream. The guys, saddened by their state, and starting to feel hopeless, had decided to take the trip in the hopes of brightening their dull spirits.

After following a strange bright light in the dark cave, the five came across a beautiful scene filled with singing birds and dancing flowers and other plants. Ever inquisitive maknae Yong noticed a giant fountain and rushed towards it, the older members following after. What they initially suspected may be the fountain of youth due to its strange location, turned out to be rather a gigantic chocolate fountain! "FATE" was written at its base, and a greek column with a golden oval on the top held pomegranate balls and [popsicle] sticks.

The guys noticed a section of the fountain had a date and time - and it looked like it could be changed. Samuel changed the year and time, not thinking much of it. Soon after, curious Yong and Yuuchi tried dipping a pomegranate ball on a stick in the chocolate each, but they disappeared upon eating the treats. New pomegranate balls and sticks replacing the used ones appeared in the vase, but no one noticed. As the frantic hyungs screamed their dongsaengs' names, they eventually decided to try chocolate covered pomegranate balls as well. Then they too disappeared, leaving no sign they had ever been there.

CONCEPT:
Chronos is a time-traveling boygroup with two sides to their music, and consists of members from disbanded groups.

FATE {f(ountain) + (pomegran)ate}: giant chocolate fountain and time machine that works if a date and time to be traveled to is set, and the time-traveler(s) eat(s) pomegranate balls dipped in the fountain's chocolate. The fountain also dispenses pomegranate balls separately. Consuming one pomegranate ball dipped in the fountain's chocolate allows a time-traveler to stay 1 week in the other time.

Chocolate represents love, happiness, and good times, also relating to the time-traveling side.

In Greek mythology, Persephone was kidnapped by Hades, son of Kronos, and taken to the underworld where she ate some pomegranate seeds, trapping her in the underworld for part of the year. So, the pomegranate seeds represent how the members can't be in any one time period forever, and have to alternate between present and other time periods, and also relating to the present side and how they feel trapped in their situation and negative feelings.

First side of music: time-traveling. The members travel through eras that impact and influence their songs and aesthetics. This side is upbeat, representing another chance, with bright, hype or dance songs.


Second side of music: the present. They feel trapped. This reality check transforms into songs that are slower, melancholic, dark or mysterious.

DEBUT:
Chronos is debuting with their album Birth of an Epoch with double title tracks, one showing the present side of their music, and the other showing the time-traveling side.

Epoch is defined as a period of time in history or a person’s life, typically marked by notable events or particular characteristics. Chronos's debut will be a notable event in the members' lives, and hopes to be one in history as well. The beginning of this period of time in the members' lives, and in history as they travel through time, is represented in this album.

Chronos: The present title track is eponymously named Chronos. The sound and lyrics convey the members' desperation, hopelessness, and tumultuous relationship with time and how they feel trapped. We thought this dark and mysterious yet enchanting song best represents Chronos's concept with both its sound and lyrics, and so thought it was the best choice for a debut title representing the present side.

Don't Stop the Dancing: The time-traveling title track is called Don't Stop the Dancing. The members first traveled to the '70s and returned with this song with a funky 70's influence. The song is bright, and makes one feel like dancing, hence the name. The song represents the hope and happiness that was renewed in the members upon their travel, and makes them want to never leave the feeling and stop the dancing, both literally and in their hearts.
