You're saying the truth, this apology and "compensation" amounts to shit, esp. for the ones that didn't make it to the groups. The company will keep profiting despite the treachery as if nothing happened, while the victims already lost their (maybe once in a lifetime) opportunity to shine.Cue unpopular opinion but in the end of day CJ E&M will still profit, I don’t believe in this fund. It won’t be transparent so how can anyone know they put 25 million there, lol? I just don’t know how they can fairly compensate EVERY single trainee. No offense but that compensation won’t help them gain the fame they missed out on. So many of S2 trainees, who didn’t get to debut in W1, struggled to stay afloat and no amount of money can guarantee they’ll earn fame even if they can fund their debut/comeback. These rigged X1 members aren’t really victims if they get to promote again, they’ll be compensated + they’ll earn profit from promoting. Same applies to IZ*ONE. Getting to debut in one of the final groups is a huge privilege and I say it as a Wannable. :/
I completely agree! I think people really aren’t ready for this topic, but this compensation seems more like ‘here’s your money, accept it and be quiet’ so CJ E&M’s reputation wouldn’t be ruined further. It’s actually great that IZ*ONE and X1 get to promote but on other hand, all the profits from their comeback will still go to CJ E&M + who says they haven’t already spent all the profits earned from PD101 seasons. They have so much power over people, that’s why there probably aren’t a lot of articles from trainees speaking their mind, because if they do, they’ll be backlisted (just like what happened to Daniel, he dared to defy CJ E&M and now he’s unable to promote on any channel/show/music show they own and I doubt anyone else would want it to happen, they’d just gladly accept money, if it meant they can promote still). It’s honestly really sad. :(You're saying the truth, this apology and "compensation" amounts to shit, esp. for the ones that didn't make it to the groups.
