First of all, I'd like to apologize for bringing twitter trash to the forum but I couldn't stop myself since, in light of the last tragic event, reflects part of the behavior leading to the toxicity in the kpop community.

I'm not even going to get deeper in OP's statement but I'll say that everyday that I'm not going under the tag of YG Stan is a win, because this is getting more embarrasing by the day and I feel sorry for my friends that still have some faith on the company and the man but Oh God, the clownery it's too much...

That being said, do we really need to turn everything into a competition? So now we're going to play the blame game to see which one is worse?
It seems like we're getting into this awful circle of mourn-pointing fingers-trivialize and is honestly sad and dissapointing, because we don't seem to learn anything even after tragedies like Sulli's death. Sometimes, I think it's because I'm older than your average stan but being young it's not an excuse to the lack of empathy and common sense nowadays. If you have the ability to conceptualize your thoughts and post them on TWT (or any social media for that matter) you could also reflect a little about yourself, your actions and words and how those can affect real lives but no... let's trivialize the topic and turn it into another competition at the same level of xxx is better than yyyy because [insert banal reason here].
The change starts within ourselves.

You hit the nail right on the head.

I feel like most of the people who say stuff like that just have trouble realizing that these are real people we're talking about. Idols and other celebrities don't feel like actual people for everyone in the same way someone they actually know does. If stuff like this happened within their community, amongst "normal" people, there's no way they'd have such a low threshold or even the audacity to turn the tragedy into something as dumb of an issue as this.

It would be so much nicer to see people actually celebrate Sulli's life rather than act like complete dipshits. Sadly I've mostly seen the latter.

Everytime something goes wrong or a company screws over their artists: Mina getting sick, Jeongyeon's breakdown, NCT and BTS getting overworked, what happened to Sulli, it's always "XXX Nation rise. Our company actually cares about their artists 💅 "
Everything is a goddamn competition

There are people overlooking Sulli completely to teardown company A and promote company B and there are stans completely writing off her struggles and things objectively wrong done to her to defend company B.
People are even shifting the topic away from her and making it all about their faves, most of whom have probably never even met her

Non MeUs/Peaches have been harassing people so badly that Key made his entire Instagram private. Hyoyeon is getting dragged for doing schedules that she couldn't get out of. Luna and Victoria are getting bashed for leaving SM and not posting anything about Sulli. Choiza is blamed for this. Jonghyun Is being dragged into this, trivialized and misrepresented.

People are taking this off the rails and way too far away from the original topic.

Choi Jin-ri is never going to realize her dreams of being a mother
She's never going to be able speak up against Sexism, racism, LGBT issues or speak up for comfort women
She's never gonna be able to promote and defend her juniors or colleagues again
She's never gonna get to piss people off for being different or hug her brother or bite her Sphinx cats
She's never going to be heard again

You can't just deflect from that or minimize that.

There absolutely needs to be accountability and people questioning everything that lead to this point but have some decency

Shameless. I guess that this person is proud of her tweet.

I have a problem with company stans anyways. Real company stans not the ones who stan several groups from the same company because they like their music. YG stans are here on every corner of the street defending Seungri or YG, JYP stans went after a girl like Somi, SM stans have a superiority complex and it’s the same for every company stan in Kpop. And now this ? Don’t use Sulli death to push your agenda, she deserved way better than that.

I hate how some company stans make anything a competition. It‘s especially disgusting and disappointing during tragedies.

this kind of behaviour is simply immature and pathetic. not only is the post itself wrong, because if you're aware of what happened to bom or hanbin you know that yg completely fails to protect their artists, but also the situation goes beyond k-pop. sulli was a real person who had her own life, feelings and dreams she wanted to realise (i genuinely can't look at that picture of her saying she has always wanted to become a mother without tearing up). her passing is not your fanwar material, for f*ck's sake.
i never understood being a company stan anyway. while i do understand liking a few groups which happen to be managed by the same label, being a fan of the company itself has always seemed rather pointless to me.
