thankfully, people do appreciate her vocals a lot, but i still think it's unfortunate that she's considered second-place in comparison to wendy. wendy's an absolute vocal powerhouse ofc, but so is seulgi, and i do often wish fans didn't think in terms of 1st, 2nd vocally bc seulgi's voice deserves to be appreciated without the caveat of "...but wendy is stronger"!

i honest-to-god have never understood people who say that twice can't sing. and i didn't come around to twice for a long time, btw. i think (or hope) that history will vindicate their singing, and i think these three deserve the top medals for vocal work. (nayeon is ever reliable, jeongyeon is an underrated powerhouse who sings so many of twice's musical climaxes, and jihyo is jihyo.)

she's the most memed loona member along with chuu in terms of just how much and how intensely she pops off with the high notes and ad libs, this talented b!tch better have her voice still appreciated in years to come



honorable mention: hyelin from exid. i just dont wanna make this post any longer than it already is but her voice is so stunning and yes solji's deserves all the hype it attracts but also GODDAMN hyelin's isn't inferior! (hani's too tbh)

I also gotta mention my faves of course A.C.E, while imo their own songs haven't showcased the 5 main vocal quality, their recent covers definitely do.



But especially the Chan, Jun, Donghun unit just has such a high and unique quality to them. While only Donghun is the official main vocal (going by what's written on their profiles), and he's doing a darn good job at it, the other 2 could easily snatch that position in different groups.




Within the current 3.5/4th Gen groups definitely some of the best and unique vocals (Jun's raspy voice especially).
