1. white people telling black people they cannot reclaim their slurs and that BHM should be for everyone not just black ppl (some even calling the holiday racist)

2. Black peoples of non AA descent trying to claim BHM as theirs as well.. (it’s african AMERICAN history month)

3. heavy increase in racist comments.

4. increase of positivity in the black community 🤎

5. black creators mass following each other 🤎

6. more AA activist accounts being created/ AA racial issues being discussed more.​

As for the racist white people, it’s some ppl need to realize like why for example saying white power isn’t ok, but black power is. Same with why saying girl power isn’t sexist but saying boy power instead isn’t right.

It’s not saying you’re better. It’s being proud of who you are, when you were looked down on for it, seen as lesser, and taught and shown to be ashamed of who you are, by ones who have more societal power and influence

The community coming together to celebrate themselves tho is great

I can’t speak abt my fave part of black history month since it’s not my culture ofc but my fave part of aapi month is all the movies and stories and representation brought to light and the community

I know here we have nadock week for the black australians here and also a sorry day.
Yet they still do not like whites.

I am glad they have days so they can shine with their culture and what not.

It’s idealistic but I wish people would just get educated instead of crying. I’m not Asian, Hispanic or Native American, but I take the opportunity during those respective months to soak in knowledge about other cultures, their traditions and history. Instead of complaining, participate!

Shit, I’m mixed with a mom who was very much about “you’re gonna learn your history” and I still learn so many interesting things during this month.
