the problem with that theory is that there were pictures of the itzy team (yeji, lia, chearyeong, ryujin WITH Somi) predebut
along with the fact that Somi left and did not get kicked out

now I'm not saying Somi would have made a better Itzy member or that Somi is better than Yuna
but if I think at that time most people believed that if Somi stayed at JYP she would have debuted instead of Yuna
