On May 26th, Dispatch shared an exclusive investigative report into Han Sungsoo, the founder of Pledis who had unfairly registered his wife to receive copyright royalties as a lyricist under the pseudonym SO JAY.

SO JAY is credited exclusively as a lyricist for eight IZ*ONE releases. Five of these songs were featured on IZ*ONE mini albums with the other three on IZ*ONE's regular album. It is noted that producers for these eight IZ*ONE tracks do not have information on the identity of SO JAY.

According to the article, she didn't write anything but it's not clear if he did. It just says he wanted to be credited and used his wife's name as cover to avoid being pointed as "biased" or whatever...

I am still not sure about this.
If he actually did write lyrics, but used a pseudonym (which many do.) Then this is his work.
if i remember correctly the rule of thumb is say a word get a third, so youreally do not have to 'write' a ton .
Producing or exec produce are different jobs.
Part of why i get super annoyed when all the jobs are conflated.

If he did not write or participate then that is ofc wrong


Now if there are tax issues (since i have zero clue about SK tax law) i can not speak to that.
