Well to those who cook anyway, do you wash meat before cooking it?

I don't, and my mum saw me cook sausages without washing them first and nagged at me that I had to.
Then my dad joined in, even though I know he doesn't wash it either...



So what do you do?

No, even if my parents told me the same thing, I always forget but most of the times I unfreeze meat so I wash it but not on purpose

I'm vegetarian so I don't cook or eat meat, but I was always taught that it's bad to wash meat because it spreads salmonella around more.

My family do, for sanitary reasons although the FDA advises not to? Another reason is that the meat here is more pungent and strong smelling, so they would boil the smell out. They wouldn't have to do that in the country I was born in since the meat doesn't smell that much
