yes always. I wait until the water gets warmer before turning on the water from the showerhead

I saw a news about a week ago about a person who didn't check the water at the motel they are staying at.....and not ended up good and they are suing.

surprisingly there are people who don't. I assumed before that people do

Uh tat tech is from like a hundred yrs ago hereabouts, now I just switch on the water n it comes out hot(according to the hotness setting n if I switched on the power); oh u mean it's heating a water tank? N after u finish showering the hot water in the tank cools down again so u hv to keep repeating?

Yeah tank water heaters are expensive here n hardly anyone uses 'em now(I think), since it's inefficient as well as costly.

oh I mean like checking the water from the shower faucet before turning on the water on showerhead. if you turn on the water from the showerhead initially, it is cold (at least for me). hope this isn't confusing

I don’t. What’s the difference between turning on the shower head right away and waiting it to warm up vs waiting until it’s warm to turn on the shower head? I guess from what I say there isn’t a reason to do either one over the other, just preference at that point?

i looked at an instant hot heater when i replace my wh and it was more money. i just have a gas water heater.

Don't they sell the electric water heaters in the US, similar to this?

Here I think it's cheaper, to install separate ones for last almost 30/35 yrs instead of central gas/tank heated water heaters(I think it's also cause the plumbing isn't connected ie the tank would be in main bathroom but the water comes from the mains/before the tank heater; in my teenage yrs we moved into a house with central/tank water heater either electric or gas I don't rmbr n it took 20 minutes or more to heat the tank, n the upstairs bathrooms were next to each other somewhat which other homes iv stayed at hvnt always been the same(downstairs bath did not hv heated water, nor sinks). Last hse my parents owned tat I stayed at did hv bathrooms next to each other but only instant water heater in non-main bathroom.

Mostly, houses here might hv 3 separate instant water heaters in 2 upstairs bathrooms, n the downstairs bathroom OR 2 units in apartments(most bathrooms would not be next to each other, so centrally connecting a tank water heat would be expensive/extra cost; the 2 houses I stayed at above were built 35/+40 yrs ago so either design different or just regional variation.

ETA but u also hv central gas heating for winter, I assume-so gas might be more cost efficient than 3 separate electrical heaters in separate bathrooms.

my biggest problem there is the water is so hard where i live.
