there's a huge difference between say a nugu kpop idol who I wouldn't consider a celebrity per se vs a member of BTS

Always. there are Tiers, and it can be country specific.
Particularly with Korea , China or a SEA nation Folks can be celebs in one place and not others.

I would include the entire world too since whilst GD for example might be known enough within Asia - he would be practically nugu on the streets of India
